NAVADISHA MONTESSORI
SCHOOL

Elementary
(6-11 years)
At Navadisha, the child’s journey flourishes in our Elementary community. Our five Elementary environments—Hamsa–, Kokila, Saarasa, Sugriha, and Parkata—are each named after birds. These names mirror the children’s blossoming curiosity, creativity, and expanding awareness of the world around them.
The Montessori Elementary Community is a vibrant, intellectually rich environment for children aged 6 to 11 years—a stage where curiosity deepens, imagination flourishes, and the desire to explore the world becomes boundless.

At this age, children are driven not just to know what, but to understand how and why. The Montessori curriculum responds with a holistic approach to history, science, mathematics, language, geography, and the arts, inviting children to see learning as part of a vast, interconnected whole.
Learning with Purpose
In this mixed-age classroom, children collaborate, plan, question, and lead. They move freely through the environment, choosing meaningful work, engaging in small group projects, and developing time management and responsibility. The teachers offer inspiration, resources, and gentle direction, encouraging deep exploration and independence.

Education Beyond the Classroom
Learning extends into the world beyond. Field visits, research outings, and real-life problem-solving provide context and purpose. Children develop critical thinking, creativity, and social awareness.
A Foundation for Life
More than academics, the Elementary environment nurtures integrity, empathy, and a love for meaningful work. It supports the growth of the whole child—preparing them not only for the next stage of education, but for life as thoughtful, capable, and engaged individuals.
